A sellout gig in the Sheffield City Hall Ballroom is just the beginning for these lads.

On Friday 3rd November 2023, South Yorkshire band The Rosadocs stepped out in front of a sold out 850 capacity Sheffield City Hall ballroom.
However, before we get onto the lads, we must give a shout out to their support acts.

First up was Sheffield four Matilda Shakes, they've had a killer year so far, with their latest single Adrenaline making it onto multiple sporting playlists, including F1 and EFL and also being played on BBC Sport.
I've seen Matilda Shakes perform a fair few times and whilst they've always been fantastic - this is the best I've seen them, they brought energy and started to get the crowd warmed up, you can tell they were popular already with some of the crowd, as I spotted a couple of Matilda Shakes t-shirts popping up and some singing along.
I definitely think the best is yet to come for them and I'll catch up with these guys soon.
The second support was The Slates from West Yorkshire.

I've known of these lads for a few months and was yet to see them live until this gig.
I must say, I was VERY impressed - they could work an audience with their quick wit and jokes, which made for excellent crowd interaction and had some great energy when playing.
I hope to see them live again soon.
Now onto the main set...

The lads walked onto chants of 'We're The Rosadocs Army' to the tune of Seven Nation Army from the crowd, and they quickly erupted into 'Towards the Sun', which got people bouncing, following up with 'Oak Tree' and their hit released earlier this year 'At Your Door'.
Their stage presence was fantastic, with front man Keelan taking the lead, there was the perfect balance of conversation, banter and music, something I find is quite hard to perfect.
There was reminisce of the band playing smaller venues since they formed in 2017, with mention of their Leadmill, Tramlines and more, to where they are now.
After a few more songs, including a brand new track 'Hopeless Optimist', there was also a very touching tribute to the Sheffield Steelers and ice hockey player Adam Johnson, following the tragic incident that happened the previous week, but also the support they've given the band up to now.
Their new track sounded good and got a good reaction from the crowd, which I imagine will also get a fantastic reaction when it's released too.

The band left and returned for an encore with Poppy Fletcher, who blended with the lads well, will look forward to see where she goes from here.
The encore included songs 'Run Away Instead' to which Keelan appeared within the crowd and joined in with the mosh pits and sing-a-long from the crowd, before joining the rest of the band on stage for No.54 and Concrete - as far as encores' go, it was one of the most lively I've seen.

Keelan's vocals are admirable. with a good range and tone and also uses his stage space well, Myles on the keyboard/guitar/vocals is also a notable mention, very much a triple threat, as well as Cal on drums and Will and Joe on bass/guitar, the indie five-piece are a real force to be reckoned with.
I had a quick catch-up with The Rosadocs' lads before the show which you can listen to below:

2023 has been a killer year for these guys and I'm really exciting to see what is to come for them next year - here's to what's next!
