2023 has been a killer year for Rotherham band 'The Reytons' and they're not stopping there...

2023 has been nothing short of a whirlwind for the 'Kids off the estate', as they started the year off with their second studio album 'What's Rock and Roll?'
One thing I love about these lads is that they're so friendly and approachable, as part of their number one campaign they opened a pop-up shop in Meadowhall Shopping Centre in Sheffield, whilst also giving fans the chance to meet them and sign their CD's, Vinyls, even cassettes and merch.

That is the first time I got the pleasure of meeting the lads and interviewing them, it was clear to me as to why they were so popular and gaining fans everywhere.
The graft paid off , as the album got to Number 1 in the UK album charts in January.

The lads soon jetted of all over, doing stints across Australia and Europe as well as announcing a UK tour.
This included a sold out show at Sheffield Arena, something that is a HUGE achievement for any band, let alone an unsigned band.
The set list was insane and had a lot of chants of 'Reytons! Reytons!' as well as your usual suspects of 'Yorkshire' which only hyped the lads up more.
The lads opened up with 'Low Life', which got the crowd bounding, also delighted the audience with the likes of 'Red Smoke', 'Slice of Lime' and 'Harrison Lesser', as well as a stunning acoustic rendition of 'Landslide'.

I was in the standing area of Sheffield Arena and there was chanting, there were mosh pits, there was jumping, and even the likes of Sheffield legends Jon McClure (Reverend and the Makers) and Jon Windle (Little Man Tate) could be seen jumping around to the lads in the crowd.
The encore also didn't disappoint, with the audience joining in with 'Uninvited', 'On The Back Burner' and finally 'Kids Off The Estate'.
Hearing the entire arena belt out lyrics, including 'And everybody round here's got a cousin or a mate whose best friends with Alex Turner' and 'Nintendo's came second and in Clifton Park was Disneyland' - really was something special.
The lads took their bows and came together for a huge group huge with their manager Rich Goodwin, whilst the confetti and also a cheeky tease of an announcement scattered round the arena...

These are now being sold online and also had X (formally Twitter) - going into a frenzy into what the announcement could be - but the notes gave a HUGE clue.
Then the announcement came round...

The lads announced their biggest show yet - 20,000 capacity in the lads hometown Rotherham, but not just anywhere... in Clifton Park.
Fans reacted to the news on social media and it seemed to get a positive reaction.
But how do the lads feel?
Well I got the opportunity to meet the lads in Clifton Park, have a little walk and a chat about what has probably been the most surreal week of their lives to date.
You can listen to the interview here:

Again, I'll reiterate how lovely the lads, and their manager, Rich, are.
All of them greeted me with a hug and with massive smiles on their faces - I can't wait to see what the future holds for them.
Their third album, 'Ballad of a Bystander' is now available to pre-order, which you can do here:
The Clifton Park gig is on Saturday 6th July 2024 and general sale tickets go live on Friday 6th October.
You can get tickets from the following:
And of course, you can listen to their tunes and see what they're up to on Spotify and YouTube:
I wish nothing but the best for these lads and you best believe I'll be at Clifton Park belting out them tunes.
